We have decided this year to dedicate a section of our journal to pieces written for and by the downtrodden. We know and understand that it is our responsibility as a part of the artistic community to acknowledge those who don’t feel heard or who have been affected by the present social and literary climate. In this time of change, we choose this themed section to encompass the entire sphere of what breaks us down and builds us up, and ask writers and artists to capture those moments for us to look back on in The Broken Plate 2021
As a part of this contest, we will be reserving 5-10 pages in our journal for the works that we feel best encompass this theme. To enter please submit to the Broken Plate, following the guidelines found on our submission page, and SPECIFY IN YOUR COVER LETTER the genre you are submitting for consideration.
For our themed section, we are accepting Non-Fiction, Fiction, Poetry, and Art.
